Penmaenmawr Phoenix FC is delighted to announce that we have now been officially confirmed by the FAW as both a Huddle and BE.FC provider.
This is a major step forward for the club and another clear sign of our commitment to growing the girls’ game in Penmaenmawr. With dedicated coaches, a welcoming environment, and a real focus on enjoyment and development, these programmes will help us create even more opportunities for girls to get involved in football.
What Is Huddle?
The FAW’s Huddle programme is a fun and friendly place where girls aged four to eleven can fall in love with football.
Sessions are designed to provide a relaxed, sociable, and welcoming environment, helping young girls enjoy a positive first experience of the game. For many, Huddle will be the perfect introduction to football — focused on enjoyment, confidence, and making friends as much as anything else.
We are pleased to confirm that the sessions will be completely free of charge.
Our Huddle sessions are now live to book through the FAW system. You can find the booking link, location, and session details on our programmes page or book directly here.
What Is BE.FC?
BE.FC is aimed at girls aged 12 to 16 and offers a different kind of football experience — one built around flexibility, fun, and social connection.
With less emphasis on the commitment that can come with traditional formats of the game, BE.FC offers turn-up-and-play sessions for girls of any ability or experience level. Alongside football, the programme also creates space for social time, challenges, and opportunities to make new friends.
The programme goes beyond the pitch too. Through the BE.FC app, participants can access bespoke content, earn badges and XP, and enjoy a safe space designed to support them through important life stages, including wellbeing, confidence, and menstrual health.
Availability and dates for our BE.FC sessions will be announced at the start of June, once we have completed the next stage of onboarding onto the FAW system for the programme.
Growing the Girls’ Game at PPFC
This is an exciting development for the club and a real statement of intent.
By becoming both a Huddle and BE.FC provider, Penmaenmawr Phoenix FC is strengthening the pathway for girls in our area — from those taking their very first steps into football, right through to those looking for a fun, welcoming environment to keep playing and developing.
With dedicated coaches committed to delivering enjoyable, engaging sessions while helping players grow in skill and confidence, this is another important part of our long-term aim to build and support even more junior girls teams in the near future.
