Why Volunteer

Why Volunteer with PPFC?

Be Part of Something

PPFC has been part of Penmaenmawr for over 50 years. When you volunteer, you're not just helping a football club — you're helping your community. The friendships made on the touchline and in the clubhouse last a lifetime.

No Experience Needed

Most of our volunteer roles require nothing more than enthusiasm and a couple of hours of your time. We'll show you everything you need to know.

Flexible Commitment

Volunteer for a full season or just a few matchdays — every contribution makes a difference. There's no pressure and no minimum commitment.

DBS Checks

A Note on DBS Checks

Some volunteer roles — particularly those involving direct contact with children — require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. DBS checks are free of charge for volunteers and the club will support you through the process.

DBS Checks Required

Safeguarding is central to everything we do. All adult volunteers and officials are required to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check before being fully confirmed in their role.

You will not be asked to work unsupervised with children before your DBS check is complete. If you are unsure whether your role requires a DBS check, just ask us when you get in touch.

Thank You

Thank You to Our Volunteers

PPFC would not exist without the hundreds of hours given freely every season by our volunteers. From the person who washes the kit every week to the coaches who give up their evenings and weekends — thank you. You are PPFC.
